Welcome to the EnTechnon
The team of the Institute for Entrepreneurship, Technology management and Innovation (EnTechnon) welcomes you sincerely to our website. Our Institute and stakeholders in the KIT environment develop the knowledge and skills, such as new technology and ways how business opportunities can be implemented by entrepreneurial activity in innovation. This knowledge should be scientifically established and prepared for business practice.
On the following pages you can find webpages of the Chair of Entrepreneurship and Technology-Management from Prof. Dr. Terzidis and the Chair of Innovation and Technology-Management from Univ.-Prof. Dr. Weissenberger-Eibl:

The Institute for Entrepreneurship, Technology Management and Innovation aims to enable the active shaping of the future in order to create sustainable value for society, business, science, and policy.
The starting point for actively shaping the future is a detailed understanding of possible future scenarios that reveals both opportunities and risks. Developing such scenarios requires scientific and practical expertise from a range of disciplines in order to understand developments holistically, taking into account their complexity and interdependencies.
Just as the development of specific technologies, products, or solutions is understood as being embedded in broader societal, technological, economic, political, and environmental processes, the consequences of these developments for all of these areas are also taken into consideration. Only by recognizing these complex interdependencies can potential future states be adequately assessed. Opportunities and risks can only be identified by placing specific constellations within a broader, holistic context. This makes it possible to develop concrete measures for different fields of action that are sustainable in the sense that they take into account the long-term implications for society, business, science, and policy.
The Institute’s key areas of focus are entrepreneurship, innovation management, and technology management. In the field of entrepreneurship, the focus is on identifying opportunities for new ventures, their strategic planning, and their effective implementation. In innovation and technology management, the emphasis is on ensuring the long-term viability of organizations and on identifying, developing, and leveraging core competencies in a changing environment, with a particular focus on the innovative capacity and competitiveness of actors within the innovation system.
These areas are united by a common ambition: to identify the potential inherent in emerging market, technological, and societal transformations and to unlock this potential for actors across different fields of action through appropriate strategic, organizational, and methodological approaches.
